School Board member falls ill, leaves meeting

TAMPA - School Board member Jennifer Faliero left a board meeting today during the middle of a heated discussion about the hiring of a school district consultant.

She apparently was light-headed and not feeling well. Paramedics were called to school district headquarters, but Faliero was able to walk out on her own power.

School district spokesman Stephen Hegarty said he thinks Faliero was taken to an area hospital. He said she appeared to be okay.
