Tampa crash ties up southbound Veterans Expressway

TAMPA -- Emergency workers responded to a three-vehicle crash on southbound Veterans Expressway, just south of the Waters Avenue exit Friday afternoon, a Hillsborough sheriff's spokeswoman said.

One person was flown to a hospital for treatment, and two others were taken by ambulance for emergency care after the 4:10 p.m. crash.

The Florida Highway Patrol said late Friday no one were no fatalities, and the road was clear by late evening.
