BRANDON -- Deputies are searching for a man who robbed the Colonial Bank on Vonderburg Road in Brandon this morning, according to the Hillsborough Sheriff's Office.

Deputies say the suspect entered the bank at 9:30 a.m. and demanded money from a teller. After he got the cash, he ran. The suspect is described as a 6-foot, 170-pound black man wearing a blue hoodie, sunglasses, dark pants, white sneakers, gloves and a dark-colored bandana over his face. He carried a handgun, deputies say.

Anyone with information can call the Hillsborough Sheriff's Office at (813) 247-8200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-8477.
