Man killed near north Tampa bottle club

TAMPA -- Hillsborough County Sheriff's detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred near the Groovy Mule Bottle Club at 8205 N Dale Mabry Highway.

Deputies found the body of Antonio Coleman of Riverdale, Ga., at 8 a.m. Sunday morning. Sheriff's spokesman J.D. Callaway described the cause of death as "upper body trauma."

Detectives are looking for a silver- or light-colored Dodge or Chrysler passenger van that may have been involved in the homicide, Callaway said Sunday night. The van has tinted windows and is "perhaps about a 2000 model," he said.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 247-8200, or Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-873-8477.
