ST. PETERSBURG -- Workers Joe Venanzi, above left, and Troy Johnson, of Flaherty Construction, St. Petersburg, installed three panels of the Berlin Wall from the former East German side of the wall at St. Petersburg Clay Co. today.

The Outdoor Arts Foundation and Atlanta-based Chastain & Company installed the wall at St. Petersburg Clay Co., where they will remain on permanent public display Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The sections weigh 800 pounds each and are 1 by 3 meters.

Fifty Berlin Wall monuments are planned throughout the United States and Canada in the coming months to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the fall of the wall, according to officials from the Outdoor Arts Foundation.
