Child revived after near drowning

A 3-year-old boy escaped drowning tonight after he fell in a swimming pool at a party at 847 41st Ave. N in St. Petersburg.

The boy was at a party with his mother when he slipped away. She noticed he was missing and found him floating in the pool, not breathing.

Several people called 911 while party guest Angie Boswell performed CPR for several minutes until he began breathing on his own. St. Petersburg Fire Rescue arrived and paramedics treated the boy, then took him to All Children's Hospital, where he was in stable condition.

Mike and Jenny Davis own the home and were throwing a 40th birthday party at the time.
