Fire crews clean diesel spill in Tampa parking lot

TAMPA -- Tampa Fire Rescue crews are cleaning up about 50 gallons of diesel fuel that spilled from a truck in the parking lot of a popular shopping complex.

Officials said the spill occurred in the parking lot of 1720 N Dale Mabry Highway just before 8 a.m. That address is the site of a retail plaza containing a Rooms To Go, Target and a Total Wine & More store.

The morning commute should not be affected, Tampa Fire Rescue spokesman Bill Wade said in a statement.
