Gun found at Blake High School

Three students were arrested today on a charge of bringing a gun to Blake High School.

A school resource officer got a tip from a student that two other students had a gun on campus today, Tampa police said. The officer searched the two students at 12:35 p.m. but did not find a gun. The officer then put the school on lockdown. At 2:30 p.m. a female student told a teacher she had the gun in her locker. It was an unloaded .25-caliber semi-automatic handgun.

The three students, all ninth-graders, were charged with possession of a weapon on school campus. They are not being identified by the Times due to their age.
