Indian Rocks Beach fires town attorney

PINELLAS -- In a unanimous vote, and with little discussion, Indian Rocks Beach city commissioners Tuesday night fired long-time City Attorney Andrew Salzman.

The action took place during a special 30-minute meeting of the commission preceding the regular commission meeting.

Salzman has been the beach community's legal representative for 15 years.

St. Petersburg attorney Maura J. Kiefer was approved unanimously to take over Salzman's position as of Feb. 26.
