Lawyer promises a 'smackdown' in Bollea divorce
A divorce attorney for Linda Bollea, wife of wrestler Hulk Hogan, is promising a smackdown in the divorce case. Responding to a request for comment about the proceeding from the National Enquirer, attorney A.J. Barranco Jr. defended his client and said the case will be "resolved on the legal merits and true facts, not on the 'he-man' tactics."
In the letter to Barranco, a reporter from the tabloid said he is preparing to write a story saying Linda Bollea acted erractically, drank heavily and used verbally abusive language with her husband and children. The reporter also says the Bolleas were separated for some time before their son's downtown Clearwater auto accident.
In his Feb. 8 response, Barranco says Linda Bollea was a loving mother and was very involved with her children's schools and extracurricular activities. Barranco said his client was so concerned about her husband's complaints about her behavior that she sought an evaluation of herself at the Betty Ford Clinic. "They found no issues and she was sent home after one week," Barranco wrote.
Barranco also said Hulk Hogan, a.k.a. Terry Bollea, had a very cozy relationship with the Enquirer reporter and carried his business card in his wallet.
"Because of this, we don't believe your article will be fair and unbiased and will include untrue and inaccurate statements from the husband," Barranco wrote.
