Pasco homicide victims were married couple

SPRING HILL -- The Pasco Sheriff’s Office today identified the victims of a double homicide as a husband and wife, David and Sherrill Wright of 18101 Moorhaven Drive.

Their bodies were discovered Monday evening inside their home, which is about a mile south of the Hernando-Pasco line in north central Pasco County. Both were 54 years old.

A family member and the family member's son found the Wrights' bodies when they went to the home about 6:30 p.m. They did not have a cell phone and were unable to locate a phone inside the home, so they left and called 911 from a nearby gas station.

The victims had trauma to the body "consistent with homicidal violence," authorities say. Exactly how they died has not been disclosed. Detectives say they have an unidentified "person of interest."
