Son of slain Shady Hills couple called 'person of interest'

A 36-year-old man in custody in Pinellas County on drug charges is being called the person of interest in the weekend double murder of a Shady Hills couple.

Braden Jackie Lee Braden is the son of Sherrill Shelton Wright, who was found dead with her husband, David, on Monday night in their home on Moorhaven Drive, Pasco authorities said.

Braden has the same listed address as the slain couple.

Acting on a tip, Pinellas authorities arrested Braden and another man, 36-year-old Christopher Jay Catalano, about midnight Monday in an Indian Rocks Beach hotel. They found between 40 and 60 pounds of marijuana and $194,000 in cash, officials said, as well as David Wright's Toyota pickup.

Catalano is not a person of interest in the Shady Hills homicides, Pasco sheriff's spokesman Doug Tobin said.

The Sheriff's Office has not said how the Wrights were killed. They were discovered about 6:30 p.m. Monday by a relative who went to the house to check on them after they weren't heard from all weekend.

maybe the sheriffs deputy did it

Your stupid comments, this is very tragic to our family especially their two young grandchildren who lost 1/2 their family in one day. The sheriffs office is trying to solve this and give us some closure.

Dave and Cheryl were great people and it is a tradegy that this happened to them.
May God look over them and thier family during this time
