Police ID shooting victims

TAMPA -- Tampa police say Osse Marc Jr. died Saturday after being shot twice in an East Tampa neighborhood.

A second gunshot victim, Wallace Pleas, was apparently arguing with Marc when gunfire erupted just after 8:30 p.m., police said. Pleas, 29, of 4505 N Suwanee Ave., was shot once in the chest and taken to Tampa General Hospital where he was listed in serious but stable condition.

Marc, 20, of 1916 E Hamilton St., was shot in his upper left chest and right calf, police said Sunday.

Saturday's shooting took place in front of a home in the 1500 block of E Emma Street. Police responded to the scene when they received word that five or six shots were fired in the neighborhood. That's where they found Marc lying on the ground.

At nearby Tampa police District 3 headquarters, 3808 N 22nd St., police found Pleas. Officer said that Pleas was shot in the same location as Marc but then drove himself to the police station.

Once police arrived at District 3 headquarters, two juveniles exited his vehicle and ran to the door to tell officers that Pleas had been shot and needed help. The juveniles then fled on foot.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-873-TIPS or Tampa police at 813-231-6130.
