Pinellas Sheriff's Office empoyee arrested on DUI charge

ST. PETERSBURG -- An off-duty Pinellas Sheriff's Office employee was arrested on a DUI charge Monday night.

Christopher Bobryk, a criminal justice specialist who works at the Pinellas County Jail, was arrested by St. Petersburg police after a traffic stop at 32nd Avenue and 38th Street N. Sheriff's Office administrative investigators were notified of his arrest.

Bobryk, 61, has been employed with the Sheriff's Office since 1998.

Bobyrk was the second off-duty Pinellas County Sheriff's Office employee assigned to the Corrections and Detentions Bureau arrested since Friday, when Aaron O. Simpson, a detention deputy at the jail, was arrested on a misdemeanor DUI charge.
