Shots reported in New Port Richey

NEW PORT RICHEY -- Two people walking near Rowan Road and Cypress Knoll east of downtown about 4:30 p.m. Thursday told authorities that someone in a gold Lincoln fired a gun at them.

The people, who were not identified, went to a nearby convenience store to call 911, Pasco sheriff's spokesman Doug Tobin said.

Deputies are investigating. Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to contact the Pasco County Sheriff's Office tips line toll-free at 1-800-706-2488.
