CLEARWATER -- Two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle while crossing Pinellas Street at Ft. Harrison Avenue about 10:50 a.m., causing a brief closure of that intersection.

The pedestrians, whose names were not released, were taken to Morton Plant Hospital for treatment of nonlife-threatening injuries, authorities said. The road should reopen soon. Check for updates on our traffic section.
