Water main break closes part of E Columbus Drive today

TAMPA -- A water main break has forced the closure of part of E Columbus Drive between 26th and 28th streets this morning.

Eastbound traffic on those streets has been diverted north at 26th Street to 18th Avenue, east on 18th Avenue to 28th Street, and south on 28th Street back to Columbus Drive, city water officials said in a statement.

Repairs should be completed by the end of the day, and restoration of the road should be done by Wednesday.
