Crash kills Tampa driver

Keith A. Berry, 59, of Tampa, was killed after the Cintas Corp. delivery truck he drove gradually drifted off of the west side of State Road 39 in Plant City and struck a drainage culvert and tree this afternoon, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.

Investigators said the truck didn't swerve or brake before impact. Berry, who wasn't wearing a seat belt, was taken to South Florida Baptist Hospital in critical condition. He was pronounced dead at 2:47 p.m.

FHP officials continue to investigate but suspect Berry experienced some type of medical emergency, causing him to lose control of the truck.
