Gas line break under repair

TAMPA -- Traffic is flowing again around Tampa Bayside Marina, 5200 W Tyson Ave. where construction crew broke a natural gas line.

Tampa Fire Rescue tried and failed to shut off the gas in the 4-inch line, but TECO People's Gas did about two hours later. No one was injured. People's Gas  is still repairing the line.

A subcontractor for Princeton Construction Company of Apollo Beach broke the line when it  pushed down  on a water line which caused the rupture, Tampa Fire Rescue said.
