Human bones found at construction site

Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office will be investigating Wednesday human bones that were found at 7808 Hwy 301 N., at Florida Utility Trailers. Someone was digging for a septic tank and unearthed the bones.   [Kathleen Flynn, Times]

TAMPA -- A construction crew digging a septic tank off of U.S. Hwy 301 discovered human remains about three feet below the surface today.

Hillsborough Sheriff's Office received a call at 3:13 p.m. about the discovery at at 7808 U.S. Hwy 301, just north of Martin Luther King Boulevard.

A medical examiner has since confirmed the bones are human.

Deputies cordoned off the area and will be preserving the scene until tomorrow, when the scene can be processed by detectives, an archeologist from University of South Florida and the Medical Examiners Office.
