Lunsford drops lawsuit against Citrus sheriff
INVERNESS -- Mark Lunsford agreed to drop the lawsuit against the Citrus County Sheriff's Office and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement today.
Dawsy and Lunsford met for about three hours outside the purview of attorneys who have traded barbed letters in recent days regarding a potential lawsuit settlement.
Lunsford's attorney Eric Block of Jacksonville said he didn't know anything about the meeting. "I"m quite unhappy," he said.

If a lawyer is unhappy it must make sense.

Good, i think he did the right thing. I also hope his attorneys leave him alone there might be some penalty for doing that without their blessing. please pass the taters....

Mark my friend,
I'm afraid I must agree with the folks who think the lawsuit was a horrible idea.
You should have listened to your heart in the first place, instead of some s--t head lawyer.
You'd probably still have some credibility and lot more respect.
The whole episode certainly did nothing positive for your image.

GOOD MOVE MARK. SCREW THE LAWYER

Mark proved today that this has always been about policies and procedures and getting an audience with the Sheriff. He is a stand-up guy and this latest development shows his mettle and proves what Mark has been about all along. There are a lot of critics who owe this man an apology - including that shock jock fighting for relevance.

Mark, when you started your organization I'm sure you had the best intentions in mind, but your ego led you down the wrong path and this suit was evident of that specifically. I thought the sheriff had every reason to shut down any meeting with you. Good luck with Citrus, I'm sure their gonna watch you close. douchebag
Yea Tim, Bubba deserves some credit here.

Sounds like a typical lawyer. Can't get the money so he pouts. Let's take note of this "litigators" name so NO ONE hires him. He doesn't look out for the cause, he looks out for his wallet.

I hope Lunsford learned something from this.

Don't just say that Mark should have learned something from this. I hope the Sheriff's Office learned too- let's not forget, if they had conducted a full-fledged, expedient search where the dirtbag Couey was living and they may have found Jessica while she was still alive. If Mark Lunsford didn't look so rough around the edges, would you all be so judgmental? No matter what, my heart still goes out to the family of Jessica Lunsford.

So the Sheriff caved in to a crackhead greedy slimeball; and actually met with him and in exchange for dropping the lawsuit made some kind of deals? Why is the sheriff making deals--are we not going to investigate the State's Attorneys findings of Child porn on Lun$ford's computer? are we going to look the other way when he is riding his (donated) bike down Highway 19 drunk and high? Are we going to ignore another woman's plea for protection from Lun$ford's stalking and harassment?
If the sheriff absolutely had to meet with this dirtbag, why didn't he do it at his office? Isn't that what office's are for, instead of meeting at Lun$ford's parents house across the street where the dastardly deed was done?
I think the lawyers should charge Lun$ford their usual fee,(preferably $500 per hour) and sue if he doesn't pay. Let Lun$ford take his Harley, his RV and his current cutie and get out of Citrus County with whatever money is left in the Foundation. What a slimeball.
