Man steals SUV with baby inside

ST. PETERSBURG -- St. Petersburg police are looking for a man they say stole a Chevy Suburban with a 7-month-old baby inside.

The mother apparently left the baby in the SUV and went into Salem's Gyro at 1735 34th St. S, when a man stole it about 3:45 p.m.

The man drove about three miles before dropping the baby off in the Roser Park neighborhood. The SUV was later recovered near 24th Avenue and Eighth Street S.

Police are looking for a man in his 20s, last wearing a navy blue sweatshirt and black sweatpants.
