Newborn dropped off at fire station

LUTZ -- A 4-day-old baby was dropped off at the Hillsborough County Fire Rescue Station on Van Dyke Road about 11:45 a.m. today. Paramedics checked out the girl and found her to be in good health, officials said.

Under Florida's "Safe Haven For Newborns" law, no questions are asked, authorities said. The infant was taken to University Community Hospital about an hour later.
