Police: Woman thrown from truck that clipped house

ST. PETERSBURG -- A woman was thrown from her car after hitting a home early this morning, police said. She remains hospitalized.

Few details were available, but authorities said the driver of a blue and silver Chevrolet pickup truck hit a home in the area of 38th Avenue N and 20th Street about 1 a.m. Her car flipped before landing outside the home.

The woman was flown to Tampa General Hospital, police spokesman George Kajtsa said.
