Pinellas sheriff's employee arrested on DUI charge
PINELLAS PARK -- A Pinellas County Sheriff's Office employee was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence early Sunday morning, authorities said.
Intake specialist Kimberly L. Evans was arrested after being stopped by deputies at 18th Avenue N near U.S. 19 about 2 a.m. Sunday, according to sheriff's reports. Evans, who works in the inmate records division at the Pinellas County Jail, was driving erratically eastbound on 118th Avenue N.
Evans, who was driving her personal vehicle, was clocked going 65 mph in a 45 mph speed zone, according to reports. After being stopped by a deputy, she was cited with speeding and DUI.
Evans, 29, has been employed by the Sheriff's Office for about three years.

It sounds like that "Psychologist " that works for these agencies needs to create some intervention programs.
Alcohol....Suicide.....Domestic Battery
ANGER MANAGEMENT.
CHANNEL THE ANGER INTO SOMETHING POSITIVE.LIKE MAYBE A PROGRAM TO HELP KEEP YOUNG PEOPLE OUT OF JAIL.
KEEPING THE SAME JOB FOR 25 OR 30 YEARS IS JUST NOT REALISTIC ANYMORE.
IT TENDS TO BE UNHEALTHY IF IT IS A HIGH STREES JOB.
UNFORTUNATELY ANY ABUSE TENDS TO COME BACK AND BITE THE PUBLIC IN THE END.
DIGNITY AND RESPECT FOR ALL...
AT LEAST IN THEORY.
IN THE NOT SO DISTANT FUTURE A JAIL RUN BY ROBOTS WITH LESS OF A HUMAN ELEMENT .MAYBE WE SHOULD OUTSOURCE THE PRISONERS TO A PLACE LIKE CHINA FOR THE VIOLENT OFENDERS. THAT IN ITSELF MIGHT BE A DETERENT TO NOT COMMITT CRIME IN THE FIRST PLACE

It's not shocking. I managed a bar that the Pinellas County Deputies frequented after their softball games. On numerous nights I witnessed multiple officers leave intoxicated, mocking oru offer of a cab. Irresponsible and dangerous. But like they say, If oyu can't do anything, you can still be a cop!

Hey Brian, as manager of a bar you should know better then to serve any more alcohol to someone who is intoxicated, you have the right to refuse and should be training your employee's better then that. Some people are just to stupid to stop drinking on their own.

How exactly do you do that? Make them blow? They weren't overserved, jsut definately over the legal limit. There's not a bar in Florida that won't serve you to legally drunk. The fact is, it varies for everyone and people have to be responsible for themselves. Often times, the cops are the least responsible ones. Especially Pinellas Park.
