Storm player arrested
TAMPA -- Tampa Bay Storm player Kenyatta Jones was arrested early this morning, according to police reports.
The incident happened about 3:30 a.m. outside a bar at International Plaza, according to Tampa police spokeswoman Janelle McGregor.
"Jones was standing on the dance floor at the Blue Martini nightclub when he attempted to urinate on the dance floor," McGregor said.
She said nightclub security officers stopped Jones, and Tampa police officers on extra duty told him to leave the Blue Martini. On the way out, Jones turned back, prompting an officer to grab his arm, McGregor said. Jones "forcibly shoved the officer against the door of the club," she said.
Jones, 29, is being held at the Orient Road Jail in lieu of $4,500 bail. He was charged with battery on a law enforcement officer, obstruction and trespassing.
The Storm signed Jones earlier this year as an offensive lineman. Before playing with the local team, he starred at USF from 1997-2000 and played in the NFL for Washington and New England.
In a statement released by the team, Storm coach/general manager Tim Marcum said, "We are closely monitoring the situation and will let the legal process run its course. His status with the team is pending."
Details of Jones' arrest will be updated as they become available.

Is that his mug shot? I didn't know you could wear jerseys at Orient.
I heard the dance floor at that place is to dry. He was lubricating it so he didn't tear an ACL/MCL/PCL/Cartiledge/Patella Tendon
