WNBA draft set for Palm Harbor resort
PALM HARBOR -- The Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club will host this year's Women's National Basketball Association draft, said Sheila Johnson, owner of the resort.
Johnson made the announcement during a brunch at the resort today. The draft will take place April 9 as a conclusion to a week of events associated with the women's league.
"It's huge," Johnson told a crowd of about 300.
Johnson, who owns the WNBA's Washington Mystics, bought the 900-acre golf resort in July last year. A co-founder of Black Entertainment Television, Johnson also owns resorts in Virginia and South Carolina.

It's not racism if you hate everyone... it's just paying attention. And if Mr. S is an idiot then the WNBA will have another fan for the coming season which should number total a bakers dozen.

Sheila Johnson has big plans for Innisbrook and is dumping a bunch of money into the resort to make it much nicer. It a lot more than any of you losers are doing in the community.

I wish the lady luck on two fronts:
1. Trying to make Innisbrook a 5 star resort when it is at best a 3 star resort.
2. Trying to keep the WNBA affloat.
On both fronts it is not going to happen just like her husband speaking for Hillary, stick to BET.
A bird in hand is better then 2 in the bush.

In my short life span I've learned two things. One: people that bash athletic women and their abilities usually possess small "eqiupment" and two: they live with their mothers.

I want to congrad Ms. Johnson, she is one of the great women who has done so much for women sports. I have the utmost respect for her. those of you who make comments without knowing should really go into her website and the wnba website to see how far women sports have come.

I can't wait for the day when women take over this game of basketball. While those people that possess small 'equipment' and live with their mothers are fumbling around looking for themselves, they are missing out on how quickly the level of talent for the women's game has progressed. The talent level these women possess will eventually be the calling card that gets the men into the arenas to watch the womens game.
