TAMPA -- Police have identified the body of the man found floating in the Hillsborough River today.

Hopkinsmug_2 William Hopkins, (left) 58, of 1002 W Nassau St., was reported missing Wednesday, Tampa police spokeswoman Andrea Davis said.

Police don't expect foul play in his death, but details about when and how he disappeared were not immediately available from police.

City workers found the body this afternoon near Laurel Street and N Boulevard.

Police got the call about the body at 12:20 p.m. City workers found the body floating near a drawbridge just east of Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park on the west side of the bridge.
