Controlled burn gets out of control

Firefighters from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission watch as a helicopter drops a load of water onto an advancing wildfire in the Chassahowitzka Wildlife Management Area as they battle a brush fire today in the Chassahowitzka Wildlife Management Area in Hernando County. A division of forestry tractor cuts a firebreak in an attempt to further contain the fire. Firefighters from DOF and the Florida Wildlife Commission battled the blaze, which started as a 250-acre controlled burn Thursday, with support from Hernando County Fire and Rescue.
