Deputies search for suspects in food store robbery

APOLLO BEACH -- Deputies are searching for two men who robbed a Best for Less food store Friday evening.

At 9:37 p.m. Friday, two men entered the store at 6020 Highway 41 and, at gunpoint, forced an employee to hand over money. The suspects then fled.

One suspect is described as a man in his 20s, about 5 foot 7 and 200 lbs. He has a medium build and was last seen wearing a light red or pink shirt with long sleeves. He also wore black shorts and a black-and-white baseball cap with a black bandana. He carried a hand gun.

The other suspect was a teenage boy, about 120 lbs. He was thin and wore all black clothing and a black bandana.

Anyone with any information can call the Hillsborough Sheriff’s Office at 813-257-8200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-8477.
