Tampa ozone advisory lifted, but watch for smoke

The good news is that Hillsborough County's Environmental Protection Commission has lifted an advisory about elevated levels of ozone. The advisory was issued 3 p.m. Tuesday and expired at midnight.

The bad news is that wildfires have been burning in Brevard, Gilchrist, Glades and Volusia counties. Tom Tamanini, Hillsborough's chief of air monitoring, said there's no evidence of smoke from the wildfires approaching the Tampa Bay area yet, but said he's keeping an eye on the winds to see if that changes.
