Bicyclist dies after crash

ST. PETERSBURG -- An 18-year-old bicyclist was killed in a crash about 8 p.m. Friday night.

Matthew K. Manner, of Gulfport, was riding west across 66th Street North near 30th Avenue North when he was hit by a 1995 Nissan driven by Alan D. Darks, Jr., 25, of St. Petersburg.

Paramedics performed CPR on Manner, but he was pronounced dead shortly afterward at St. Pete General Hospital.
