Clearwater man accused of killing two kittens

CLEARWATER -- A man accused of killing two kittens by smashing them on the ground has been arrested.

Gilley James P. Gilley, 48, of Clearwater was arrested Sunday afternoon on two counts of animal cruelty.

According to a jail booking affidavit, on Saturday morning Gilley intentionally threw the kittens to the ground causing their death. He was also charged with misdemeanor domestic battery.

Gilley was released from the Pinellas County Jail on $25,000 bail.
