An argument between customers waiting their turn in line at a Tampa meat market Monday ended with one woman hospitalized with a missing fingertip and another jailed for biting it off, police said.

Bumpers According to a Tampa Police incident report, Jacqueline Wimbush was in line with Pamela Bumpers (left) at the Aliana Meat Market, 4016 N 22nd St., were arguing when Bumpers "bumped the victim and they started fighting with each other."

Then, Bumpers bit off the tip of Wimbush's finger.

Wimbush, 39, was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital. Her condition was not immediately available. Online jail records show Bumpers, 33, was charged with felony battery. She was released after posting $2,000 bail.

Police said the argument was over their number in line.
