A Largo construction contractor faces two counts of felony grand theft on charges that he defrauded two homeowners.
Jack B. Quick, 54, of the 2500 block of Elyria Avenue, was arrested July 2 after a two-year investigation of complaints against his construction business by the Pinellas Department of Justice and Consumer services and the Pinellas State Attorney's Office.
Quick's construction license and permits remain active with the state and Pinellas County, but they could be revoked if he is convicted. Quick was released July 3 on $15,000 bond.
Quick's customers' complaints have received Times coverage in the past ("Remodel built her ire, not rooms," July 30, 2006).
