Pasco double-murder suspect placed on federal 'most wanted' list

A man suspected of killing two men in 2006 was placed on the U.S. Marshals' list of 15 most wanted suspects, bringing new resources to the manhunt.

Pierrecharles Luc Pierre-Charles (left), 20, is wanted in connection with the murders of Derek Pieper, 17, and Raymond Veluz, 18, who were found shot to death on a country road in Trilby in July 2006.

Authorities in Tampa pulled over another suspect, Tyree Jenkins, on July 24. Jenkins, 22, was arrested on first-degree murder warrants in the deaths of Pieper and Veluz.

This morning, officials with the Pasco County Sheriff's Office announced the U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force, a combination of local, state and federal resources aimed at capturing violent criminals in Central Florida, will join the search for Pierre-Charles.

"Although the warrant for Luc Pierre-Charles is entered into the national crime information computer  system, the placement of this suspect on the U.S. Marshals' '15 Most Wanted List' brings increased awareness to this case," Pasco County Sheriff Bob White said in a statement. "We hope this helps us to quickly bring him to justice."
