Pit bull bites 15-year-old girl

RIVERVIEW -- A 15-year-old girl was bitten on the legs by a pit bull terrier this afternoon in the parking lot of a CVS Pharmacy in Riverview.

The girl, whose name was not immediately released, was bitten on both legs by the dog just after 2 p.m. and was transported to a hospital, said Hillsborough sheriff's spokeswoman Debbie Carter. The incident occurred at the CVS at 5905 U.S. 301 S.

The dog was removed by Hillsborough County Animal Services, Carter said.
