ST. PETERSBURG -- St. Petersburg police arrested a Boston Red Sox fan at the Tampa Bay Rays game after he tried to jump the dugout and run on to the field, police said.

Sgt. Karl Lounge said Christopher Sciesinski, 33, of Sarasota was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge about 10 p.m. Security staff and police had received complaints about Sciesinski earlier in the game. Officer Patrick McGovern pulled out a Taser gun as police took him into custody, Lounge said.

"The Taser itself was never discharged," Lounge said.

Later, Sciesinski's friend Robert Mansour, 37, of Sarasota was arrested on a disorderly intoxication charge. He started a fight with another fan, Lounge said.
