Bucs player arrested for DUI
TAMPA -- Matt McCoy, who until Saturday had been a linebacker for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was arrested by police for driving while intoxicated shortly after 4 a.m. near his south Tampa home on Paul Avenue, according to Hillsborough County jail records.
McCoy refused a blood-alcohol test and was released this afternoon on $500 bail, records show.
The 26-year-old California native was a third-string linebacker who came to Tampa from the Jets as a free agent, and previously played for the Philadelphia Eagles. The team released him on Saturday.
