Gas line ruptured in downtown Tampa

TAMPA -- Tampa Fire Rescue is responding to reports that a natural gas line ruptured near 3913 W Cass St. at N Church Avenue.

A call about the accident came in at 11:45 a.m. Firefighters and Peoples Gas were en route to the scene.

There were no major evacuations, Capt. Bill Wade said.
