Arrest made in St. Pete gas station robbery

Everett_darryl ST. PETERSBURG -- A 45-year-old man was arrested Tuesday night in connection with the Nov. 10 armed robbery of a Sunoco Gas Station on 34th Street N.

Pinellas County sheriff's deputies charged Darryl L. Everett, left, 6049 32nd St. N, with armed robbery and violation of felony probation. Deputies had received a tip from someone who recognized him on the store's surveillance video.

Everett was arrested without incident and admitted to the armed robbery, deputies said. Records show that he was released from state prison in July after serving 12 years on charges including burglary, robbery and possession of cocaine.
