Tampa woman dies in New Year's Eve crash

St. Joseph's Women's claims New Year's baby

TAMPA -- Giovani Lee Mosquera Pittman never once opened his eyes as news reporters crowded into his hospital room this morning to catch a glimpse of him. Born 17 seconds after midnight today, the 7.5-pound, 19-inch boy became the first Tampa Bay area baby born in 2009.
