Bolleas fighting over maintenance worker
CLEARWATER -- It has come to this: The divorce case between Hulk Hogan and his wife, Linda Bollea, now includes a tug-of-war over a maintenance worker.
In August, the couple agreed to a temporary division of their homes and expenses until the divorce could be finalized.
Linda Bollea says employee George Cruz was supposed to work at the Willadel Drive mansion where she lives and that Terry Bollea, also known as Hulk Hogan, was supposed to pay for it.
But Terry Bollea has been summoning Cruz to his house on Clearwater
Beach and making "unreasonable requests" for him to do extra work,
according to a motion filed by Ms. Bollea's lawyers. The motion will be
taken up by the court at 11:30 a.m. today.
Among the "unreasonable requests" Linda objects to: Bollea made Cruz spend the whole day at his beach house helping his girlfriend move in. Bollea also summoned Cruz to his house several times a day while he was out of town so that Cruz could walk the girlfriend's dogs.
On top of all that, the motion says, Terry Bollea is spying on Linda Bollea by constantly demanding that Cruz tell him when visitors arrive and leave her house and which rooms they occupy.
Ms. Bollea's court filing says that Cruz finally stood up to her husband and refused to do the extra work.
The next week, Cruz showed up at the bookkeeper's office to get his paycheck and one for housekeeper Veronica Secundino. The bookkeeper said Bollea had decided to stop paying.
According to Linda's lawyers, this is a violation of the agreement the couple reached this summer about how to divide their expenses. Ms. Bollea wants Hulk locked up in the Pinellas County Jail until he agrees to pay.
In the meantime, she has had to pay both Cruz and Secundino out of her own funds.
This dispute is a frivolous waste of time, Terry Bollea's attorneys responded.
According to their filing, George Cruz has always maintained both the Willadel Drive mansion and the Eldorado Avenue beach house. The "unreasonable requests" are actually quite usual, Bollea's lawyers said.
"George has always taken care of the parties' animals and he, knowing that the husband has had back injuries, has always helped with moving large boxes," the filing said. "George Cruz is not a spy for the husband."
The filing blames Ms. Bollea for Cruz's problems, saying that she prohibited Cruz from working for or even talking to her husband. When this happened, Hulk decided to stop paying Cruz until the issue could be resolved.
Before the motion was filed, letters passed between attorneys for both sides. In a letter dated Dec. 29, the day before the court filing, Terry Bollea's attorney David Houston put it bluntly: "I think it would be a ridiculous waste of your client's money and my client's money to present this matter to (Circuit) Judge (George) Greer for what should be a relatively easy decision."

Cruz should put an ad in the phone book: "I'm so good that I somehow ended up as an asset in a divorce settlement between two famous idiots!"
Just like any financial dispute in a divorce, it has to be addressed. But is it news? Not really, other than for comic relief. The SP Times has a much better sense of humor than most newspaper websites, so I applaud them for that. However, it might just be because they have better material to work with than the rest of the country.

Really don't care. They bore me. Shouldn't the bickering stay between Hulk, Linda and their lawyers rather than everyone in Pinellas County?

If that is all they have to worry about. Try having a terminally ill child. Maybe then they could see how life is for real. Cure Battens Disease.
