'Oversized' robber in woman's wig holds up bank
ST. PETERSBURG - Police are looking for what they described as an "oversized bandit" in a woman's wig who robbed the Wachovia Bank at 1000 Tyrone Blvd. N shortly after noon Tuesday, authorities said this morning.
Described as a 6-foot-5, 250-pound man with a cleft chin and a wig of straight black hair. The robber wore all-black clothes and carried a dark backpack, said police spokesman George Kajtsa. He sat in his car in front of the bank for about 20 minutes, then entered the bank through the east doors and went up to a teller. The robber implied he had a handgun and demanded money and no dye pack, Kajtsa said.
Once he had an undetermined amount of money the suspect fled in his car, a silver, four-door compact vehicle with dark tinted windows. The car may be missing a right front hubcap.
Police ask anyone with information to call the robbery squad at (727) 893-7164.

If they catch this guy, he's going to have a ridiculous story to tell in prison. Perhaps this attempt at the incognito was really a prequel to what he's going to spend the money on... a transgender operation! Stranger things have happened...
