Drunk man called 911 to complain about 7-Eleven clerk, ended up arrested

ZEPHYRHILLS - A little after 1 a.m. Saturday, a 911 dispatcher got a call from a clerk at a 7-Eleven in Zephyrhills. The clerk said a drunk customer was being abusive and threatening to her because she refused to sell him more beer.

A few minutes later, 911 got another call -- from the customer, Armando Merino, 40 and from Zephyrhills, who cussed and was "abusive" to the dispatcher, officials said.

Officers from the Zephyrhills Police Department got to the scene and, according to a report, tried to calm him down to get his side of the story. An officer said the man smelled of alcohol, was unsteady and continued to berate the clerk and officers.

"After numerous attempts to calm (the) subject down" officers arrested him on a charge of disorderly conduct and transported him to the Land O'Lakes jail. He was released a few hours later on $100 bail.

The DWI's are now coming to the police!
What kind of judge would let that mouthy, threatening, drunk go on $100 bail ?
If I was the clerk, I'd never vote for that judge.

It is good (and funny) he was charged, though.
Thankfully, he didn't put his hands on the clerk.

cops are worthless
