Dunedin man seriously injured in crash on U.S. 19

PALM HARBOR - A Dunedin man was critically injured in a car accident Wednesday afternoon after he ran a red light on U.S. 19, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

An FHP report says Enkyrosaum Santa Cruz, 22, was headed southbound in the center lane on U.S. 19 in an Oldsmobile sedan around 2 p.m. when he failed to stop at a red light at Innisbrook Drive and hit 31-year-old Jeffery Zajac of Palm Harbor.

Zajac, driving a two-door Honda, was crossing 19 and had a green light, FHP officials said. He received minor injuries.

Santa Cruz was taken by helicopter to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg. On Wednesday evening, he was listed in stable condition, according to a hospital spokeswoman.

The accident is being investigated.

no license, no insurance.. another illegal no doubt.. when are cops & courts gonna start deporting these perps?

Dang Nick, I must have missed all that in the article. Would you mind highlighting where it says he's an illegal with no license or insurance?

Thanks man.

I agree with you CAB. Amazing how folks jump to conclusions. Says something.

im pretty sure they said that this guy is an illegal on tv, but besides that they are going to give illegals amnesty and they are getting social security now which they dont pay into because theyre here illegally , thanks barack hussein, why do you think its near impossible for someone like me to get a decent paying construction job while theres four or five crews of spaniards building houses in my neighbor and we have to keep an off duty police officer to make sure they dont come back at night to rob the houses they build. but hey the builders can pay them less and work them more so they are great additions to our society. eff off you american hating pos's, all the illegals need to be sent hiome and the people hiring them need to be arrested, jobs for americans would go up crime will definately go down nd god only knows how much our economy will benefit when we arent paying there medical and lawyer bills

illegal aliens do not benefit our society in this country at all, they import their crime and gangs, they deport our money to there home countries instead of recycling it back into local communities economies like real americans, they set up drug smuggling operations, and they take jobs that american citizens can be doing and would be doing if they could get them. there are no jobs we dont want to do there are only employers who dont want to pay real wages so they hire illegals and pay them dollars a day give them room and board and basically aid known criminals............ but lets give em all amnesty

hey aliens get everything handed to them --might as well set them up in a business,or better yet he'll probably be on disability and just collect a check everymonth ----deport him ?? yea what a joke!!
