Ex-Buc charged with battery
A National Football League player was arrested and charged with aggravated battery/domestic violence following an incident at about 2:20 p.m. Saturday at his Tampa home, Tampa police said.
Cornell Duane Green, 32, an offensive tackle for the Oakland Raiders and former Tampa Bay Buccaneers player, was apprehended at Tampa International Airport, where he was scheduled to take a flight to Oakland, Calif.
According to police, Green is accused of pushing Teriyonal Ebony Flowers, 30, the mother of Green's two children, into a wall and then hitting her right arm with an aluminum mop handle after a heated argument turned violent. Police said Green then fled his Plantation Bay Drive home and drove to the airport.
After learning of his flight, police contacted Transportation Security Administration and airport police, who apprehended Green at TIA. Tampa police took Green into custody about 5 p.m. Saturday. He's being held without bond at the Hillsborough County Jail, records show.
Green, who played college football at the University of Central Florida, has twice played for the Buccaneers. He was a member of the Bucs' Super Bowl XXXVII winning team. He has also played for the New York Jets, Miami Dolphins and Denver Broncos.

This is humiliating to Buc fans! No better than the worst of them throughout the NFL, I'm always wondering WHY you never see this dispicable violence in the Steelers organization, that is, until one of those "you-know-whats" (I didn't even have to look at the picture) leaves the Steelers organization like Plaxico Burris to get involved in gunplay. The only remarkable incidents that ever come out of the Steelers organization I can think of are rather peripheral, "remarkable" only because they were at the hands of peripheral numbsculls like a woman running a red light that got T-boned by quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger on his motorcycle; and then the saddest case of them all to date: the most misfortunate Johnny Gammage, the nephew of Steelers defensive lineman Ray Seals who was killed by Pittsburgh-Brentwood cops of the Three Stooges milieu. It is remarkable again that Seals, in the humble status of common decency and social assimilation, works hard as a car salesperson in Sanford, Florida. YOU GO RAY!

Johnny Gammage - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
As an aside continuation of my last post, please put this link in your web browser to see that Johnny Gammage -- nephew of Steelers defensive lineman Ray Seals -- was killed during an a traffic stop innocuously driving his cousin Ray Seal's Jaguar luxury sedan, Pittsburgh's Brentwood-Whitehall cops claiming they thought his cell phone was a gun as he tried to call his mom.

While there is no excuse for any guy hitting his wife/girlfriend just think for a second. He hit her arm with a mop handle and pushed her into a wall? A 6 foot plus 300 pound plus pro football offensive tackle? I think if he was a really violent type he could have easily done some serious harm to her. His trip to the airport was probably an attempt to put some distance between them and find a place to cool off. Neither of which is a bad thing after a really bad argument with your wife. Cut him some slack here.

CARLO:
Actually you don't have much of a memory, of you're blocking it out.
Your 2008 defensive player of the year (James Harrison) was arrested for assaulting his girlfriend in 2008. He beat her up pretty good. Google it. I don't remember the Steelers benching him last season.
Tight end Jon Dekker was arrested last season, and the kicker, Jeff Reed, was arrested about a month ago in a quickie mart.

Carlo is not the sharpest pencil in the case. First, I remember ragging on my friend last year- who is a Steeler fan- about all of the incidents that they had been in in the past year. Thanks for listing some of those Lee. Second, Carlo's logic goes something like this....A) Green's- an ex buc- domestic violence is an embarresment to Buc fans, B)Steeler fans are never embarressed by their players like this, unless C) it is an ex Steeler. Huh, what? Green is an EX-Buc. Wow, you need to go teach analytical thinking there Carlo...that was sharp. No arguing against you. This is what our country needs...more people with poor logic who throw out false information in their arguments.

I suppose everyone has all the info on both sides of this story. Naturally any incident players are involved in just trills those whom love to judge. Wait till the rest of the story is in before judgement is given, and then at that point look at yourself and ask whom am I to judge. Then you might not be so eager to start typing. God Bless

First of all to all the haters out there who have something to say about cousin get your facts straight before you post your comments instead of getting one side of the story.no hitting a person is never an answer to your problem but destroying somebody house is not right either. And by the way is out and on his way back to oakland HATERS!!!!!!!!!! And since he is in the NFL the media is going to make him look bad which he is not! so don't believe the hype get your facts and story straight before you say something bad about somebody you dont know!
