Fire at vacant St. Petersburg home believed to be arson

ST. PETERSBURG - Authorities are investigating a fire that engulfed a vacant one story home this afternoon.

The house, located at 1931 43rd St. S, caught fire at about 2:30 p.m. Several palm trees also caught fire.

The fire is believed to be arson, said Lt. Joel Granata of St. Petersburg Fire & Rescue.

I'm wondering how close that is to the home of the boy from St Pete that got shot the other night. Did I read he lived on 43rd St South?
