Fiedler unable to go
LAKE BUENA VISTA - Quarterback Jay Fiedler was placed on the reserve Physically Unable to Perform list.
Fiedler is recovering from shoulder surgery and is expected to begin practicing sometime during training camp. Quarterback Luke McCown, who is recovering from surgery for a torn ACL ligament, also was placed on PUP.

i'm confused (not a novel state). what does this mean for fiedler? is he out for the year?
i'm not sure what the ramifications are for being placed on the "Unable to Perform" list.

It just means he's not 100% healthy. He is not out for the year. He won't practice and as long as the bucs take him off that list before the season starts, he will be available week 1. If he's not off the list before the season starts, he can't contribute or be activated until week 10(I think).
