Gruden gets visit from old friend
Jon Gruden got a surprise visit from an old friend recently: none other than former Bucs defensive lineman Warren Sapp. He stopped by the Bucs' training facility one day late in the offseason to see some of his old pans and ran into his former coach. Gruden said the two had a good chat despite Gruden playing a role in Sapp's departure from Tampa Bay.
But the most memorable aspect of the visit for Gruden was Sapp's waistline.
"He's 288 pounds," Gruden said. "Man, he looked incredible."

Lane Kiffin should do his dad a favor and release Sapp so he can come back where he belongs.

I would truly enjoy having Sapp back - it will all depend on how much cash we give Culpepper

This can't be true , all ex players hate gruden according to the times

Some one wants to come home. Warren is on the chopping block in Oakland. So Lane doesn't want him. I'm sure that Monte wouldn't mind Sapp as an inaurance policy. He still has something left in him. I know he was "outspoken" to say the least, but you gotta admit he was fun. Maybe not the prettiest cheerleader we had, but he sure could fire the crowd up from the sidelines. GO BUCS!

sapp coming back to tampa...not likely. If lane is as smart as people say he is, even though he's head coach for the pathetic raiders, he's not going to get rid of sapp any quicker than monte' would be ready to give up brooks, barber, or kelly

Sapp, an insurance policy? Are you kidding? He's a flat out starter here!

definately
if sapp came back or defense would come right back up
look at oakland there offense was terrible but they had the 3rd ranked defense and a big reason was because of Sapp

Iam a big Warren Sapp fan, I remember from day one when no one in the league wanted this man. But he was drafter along with Derrick Brooks and John Lynch. Can you Imagine how this defense would go back to the top of the NFL Defense. No One could safe with Sapp on the prowl. I still ahve his shirts. It would be fitting to have him back to finish out his career and maybe another Super Bowl!
